Serving as Rotary District Secretary and Master of Ceremony for the Assistant Governor Learning Seminar and District Team Learning Seminar was both exciting and challenging. Standing on stage in front of all the participants made me nervous for a moment, but as soon as the program began, the familiar thought kicked in. “The show must go on.”

With over 140 participants attending the plenary session, we effectively managed the large turnout by organizing parallel sessions. We divided the Assistant Governors into one group and the District Officials into two separate groups. This arrangement allowed for more focused attention and turned the learning sessions into highly interactive and productive experiences.

We were committed to making this year’s seminars more organized, disciplined, and meaningful. Here are some of the key improvements we introduced:

Punctuality (Dot Time Start and End): The program started and ended exactly on time. This simple change brought a new level of professionalism and was greatly appreciated by all participants.

Meaningful Tokens of Appreciation: Instead of traditional khadas and other things, we gifted Dr. Prakash Raj Regmi’s inspiring book “Mutu Ka Kura”.

Pre-Registration System: We introduced proper pre-registration, which helped us plan logistics smoothly and eliminated last-minute confusion.

Strong Host Club Support: 45 Rotary clubs came forward to host the event.

Equal Sitting Arrangements: We ensured every Rotarian felt equally valued. No VIP culture or hierarchy. Everyone sat together as one Rotary family.

Uniform Blazer Look: Almost 50 Rotarians wore the same color blazer, creating a striking visual impact and a strong sense of team unity.

Interactive Sessions: The sessions were designed to be highly engaging, with lively discussions, group activities, and open sharing. Participants stayed involved and gained practical insights.

As District Secretary, I received a lot of positive feedback and constructive suggestions. One common comment was that the program cost of NPR 6,500 per participant was slightly on the higher side. We accept this feedback and will work on making the next program more affordable while keeping the same quality and standards.

One of the most heartwarming moments came during the cocktail dinner after the program. Our District Governor for 2026-27, Vishnu Bahadur Karkee, did not sit in one place. Instead, he proactively moved around and personally interacted with every Rotarian; listening, sharing, and connecting with everyone present.

This humble and approachable gesture significantly boosted the morale of the participants and created a wonderful spirit of fellowship. It made every Rotarian feel truly valued and important.

Looking back, serving as District Secretary and Master of Ceremony was a proud and enriching experience. The initial nervousness quickly faded as I witnessed the positive energy and unity among all participants.

These thoughtful changes, effective management of the large participation, and warm fellowship truly elevated the seminars and reinforced Rotary’s core values of respect, equality, fellowship, and service.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to District Governor 2026-27 Vishnu Bahadur Karkee and District Learning Facilitator Chair 2026-27 Rajendra Man Sherchan for the successful organization and excellent execution of the program.

I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to carrying forward these positive changes in the next program. Making it even better, more impactful, and more accessible for all Rotarians.

Life is beautiful in Rotary and we unite for good to Create Lasting Impact through every act of service and compassion.
